The Real Story of Ohio's Bees. Northern Ohio's Convivium of Slow
Food and the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes invite you to learn more
about the problems facing Ohio's honeybees from some of those who
know them best, including expert Kim Flottum, editor of Bee Culture
magazine. Following the formal program, Chef Corey Barrett, noted
Lola/Lolita pastry chef, will speak about cooking with honey, and
area beekeepers will assist guests in an informal honey tasting.
Enjoy pastries by Barrett, coffee, tea, and lemonade.

Why:
In late spring this year, Ohio beekeepers reported losing
approximately 70 percent of their bees over the winter. Ah Sweet
