Donate to the Kathleen L. Barber Memorial Habitat Restoration Fund
The Kathleen L. Barber Memorial Habitat Restoration Fund supports restoring natural habitats found within the grounds of the Nature Center including wetland, floodplain, woodland and stream. Habitat restoration efforts include removing invasive plants and re-establishing native plants. Through your donations, the Nature Center can continue to provide a beautiful and natural place for education, recreation and reflection.
This fund was created in honor of Kathy Barber, one of the legendary Freeway Fighters who prevented the construction of the Clark Freeway. She was a founder of the Nature Center and served on its first Board of Directors in 1967. Kathy became a highly-respected educator and community activist and was a loyal member and donor of the Nature Center throughout her life.
