Welcome 2020 Nature Center Board Members

Now into the 2020 Fiscal Year at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes, we’re pleased to introduce our newest elected members to our Board of Trustees.

Jef Fowler

Jef has been with KeyBank Corporation since 2011 serving as Managing Director for KeyBanc Capital Markets Syndicated and Leveraged Finance. Prior to Key, Jef was employed by Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Chicago, Charlotte, and London. He attended Vanderbilt University, receiving a degree in Economics. Jef obtained his MBA from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University. Jef and his wife Mity reside in Shaker Heights along with their three children and their Labrador retriever.

Kate Nagel

Kate Fox Nagel, DrPH, MPH, is a health care executive with extensive experience in public health and health care administration, including major enterprise growth initiatives. She currently works with a number of nonprofit organizations to provide strategic guidance on organizational growth and management. She is an adjunct faculty member at Case Western Reserve University’s Master of Public Health Program, serving as the Health Policy & Management Concentration Coordinator. She was named the Forty Under Forty (2015) and Who to Watch in Health Care (2014) by Crain’s Cleveland Business. Kate lives in Cleveland Heights with her husband and two children. Kate served as co-chair of the Flyways not Highways Annual Benefit in 2019 and will be co-chair in 2020.

Meredyth Ralph

Meredyth has been serving a National Assurance Experienced Hire Recruiting Lead, Assistant Director with Ernst & Young, LLC since 2011. Meredyth grew up in Warren, Ohio and attended The Ohio State University. After living in Chicago for 8 years, she and her husband, Jon, moved to Ohio and made Shaker Heights their home. They have a 7-year old son and two dogs. Meredyth enjoys golfing, skiing, hiking, traveling, and volunteering in her local community. She served as co-chair for the Flyways not Highways Annual Benefit in 2019 and will be co-chair in 2020.

Terri Wade-Lyles

Terri Wade-Lyles is an independent education consultant who holds a Doctorate in Education and Administration Leadership for Teaching Learning. Her published research topic evaluates how teacher professional development impacts the integration of place-based education in an urban setting, which has been reviewed and referenced by researchers in over 9 countries worldwide. She has been the Manager of K-8 Science Education for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District in Cleveland, Ohio since 2011. She has served on the Richmond Heights Local School Board and currently serves as a member to a number of advisory councils, including two years as the Chairperson of the Washington Park Academy Advisory Board. Terri has been honored in the who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, 7th Edition, which honors the nation’s most respected teachers. Terri is one of the creators of the Cleveland Learning Experience for Science Collaborative (Cle4Sci) that includes NCSL’s Applied Science for Kids (ASK) program with CMSD. Terri is the proud mother of 4 children and lives on the east side of the city with her husband of 31 years.

Dan Waters

Dan has been the Director-Project Management for CBRE Healthcare since 2014. He provides advisory solutions to the healthcare sector by guiding clients through capital projects. Prior to CBRE, Dan was with Evans & Peck as a Senior Associate. Dan holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management as a Master of Engineering Science from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He has been serving on the Facilities and Natural Resource Management Committee and Campaign Construction subcommittee for two years. Dan resides in Cleveland Heights with his wife, Christine and two children.
