Winter Tree ID Hike

Leaves are perhaps the most distinct feature of a tree, but how do you identify a tree with no leaves? Join the Natural Resources team on a winter tree identification hike and learn about the other features like buds, twigs and bark that can help you identify trees even in winter. You’ll get to know hickories, oaks, maples and more. The hike will be approximately 60 minutes on and off trail, getting up close and personal with trees. Each participant will take home a copy of The Winter Tree Finder field guide.
